“I’m gonna make the rest of my life, the best of my life.”
I am a native of Wisconsin, and at the age of 15 years I started working at my Grandfather’s construction company as an apprentice. Over the years I worked my way up and when my Grandfather and then my Father passed away, my brother and I became the sole owners of the business. I chose to do the business development, real estate investing and the marketing services, while my brother oversaw the construction end of the business. In 1979-80 we chose to sell and close the business and move west to warmer weather and leave the below zero weather behind.
In 1981 I moved my family to Arizona where I started with Kitchell Contractors as a Project Director of Pre-Construction / Marketing. After 3 years, I accepted an opportunity with McCarthy Construction as a Senior Vice President in Pre-Construction / Marketing where I remained for 11 years. Then in 1994 I changed direction slightly and went to work for a structural engineering firm where I managed all of their marketing for over 25 years.
In April 2020, I accepted an invitation to work with the well-respected Caruso Turley Scott Structural Engineers, as a Director of Business Development. I still continue to be intrigued by the challenges that clients and prospective clients put in front of me. I enjoy working with all of the various companies and learning what each client is looking for in our professional services, and I thrive on reaching mutual understanding and agreement.
Personal: Over the years I have enjoyed many outdoor activities; water skiing, fishing, snow skiing, and tennis. Our family also likes to spend a week in the summer in San Diego on the beach. I am an avid reader, enjoy classical music, am a 3rd Degree Registered Black Belt with the American Tae Kwon Do Federation, and I like to keep my eye on the stock market.
