Richard Turley, SE
Partner | Project Manager
“I’m a structural engineer, to save time let’s assume that I’m never wrong.”
Richard Turley was born and raised in Northern Arizona. After 4 years of service in the United States Air Force where he lived in Texas, Northern California, Vietnam, and Southern California, he returned to Arizona to earn a degree in Engineering from Northern Arizona University. Richard was working at Caruso & Parke Engineering when he met Paul Scott, a good friend, and future partner. In 1982, he joined forces with Paul Scott and Sam Caruso to form Caruso Turley Scott Inc.
In addition to Richards 42 years of dedicated engineering work, he has always worked just as hard to improve the industry. He has served 5 years on the Structural Engineers Association of Arizona Board, 16 years with the Society of Military Engineers, 7 years on the City of Scottsdale Building Advisory Board of Appeals, and 20+ years of service on the Northern Arizona University Engineering Advisory Board.
Personal: I have been blessed with a wonderful wife for 42 years, 2 great children, and 6 grandchildren. I enjoy international travel, scuba diving, and traveling around the beautiful state of Arizona. I also enjoy working with a great staff, fantastic clients, and talented contractors. Who else can say… after 42 years at the same job, I have never been bored!
